At Buxton Building Supplies our Windows & Glass department can cater for all your glazing needs.
We supply and fit double glazed windows and replacement double glazed sealed units in any size. As you may be aware an average home may lose 25% or 30% of its heat output through its windows. The right choice of windows can therefore reduce your utility bills considerably. That is why windows nowadays have an energy rating system similar to that for white goods, such as washing machines and dishwashers. The BFRC ("British Fenestration Rating Council") operates a system whereby windows are rated "A" to "G" based on the thermal efficiency of the window as a whole. This system takes into account heat losses through the glass and through the frame and we can help you choose between the various options available to make the right choice for your home.
Conservatories
We also specialise in tailor made conservatories in either uPVC or aluminium. We offer a complete service, from the initial conservatory design consultation and survey to planning permission, building regulations, foundation laying and final installation. We employ our own trained builders and fitters, not contractors, who are all experienced and understand the systems we work with. Above all, we have a commitment to do the job well for you, because our reputation is important to us.

We are also an agent for Rockdoor composite doors. Rockdoors are designed to be one of the most secure domestic doors on the market and carry a 10 year guarantee. In addition to composite front doors and back doors, Rockdoor also manufacture high performance stable doors, french doors and patio doors.
We stock a comprehensive range of sheet glass, mirrors and polycarbonate which can be cut to size, polished and beveled as required on site.
